The Semantic? Web??

My doubts that it will work on a large scale:

• The "Semantic Web Road map" of TBL dated Oct. 1998,

• after 5 years no large scale search engine uses SW,

• the WorldWideWeb and HTML succeeded because of its:
  1. simplicity, useable by everybody

     - the semantic web is anything but simple
         ("pedantic web")

  2. multimedia functionality

     - the semantic web offers no new multimedia functionality

  3. money-making capabilities

     - the semantic web offers little new business models
